Our story

It started with one accounting module

  2. 2017First project shipped — accounting software for Royal Global School, still in use
  3.  Project work grows into full enterprise systems
  4.  Five SaaS products of our own, built and operated in-house
  5. Today650+ projects for 300+ businesses, a team of 20

Arsaviva was started in 2017 with a straightforward idea: that most businesses are held back less by their market than by the way their own operations are run, and that software is the thing that fixes it.

The first project we ever shipped was a basic accounting management system for Royal Global School. They are still using it today. It is a small fact, but it is the one we would point to before any other — software that is still in daily use nine years later says more about how it was built than any description we could write.

What changed over the following years was our own ambition rather than our direction. As we kept building, it became clear that we were not only writing software but removing real constraints from real businesses — and that we could do it at a scale beyond single modules. Project work grew into full enterprise systems. Enterprise systems taught us enough about a handful of recurring problems that we built products of our own to solve them outright.

Today Arsaviva does both. We build custom systems for businesses across India, and we run five SaaS products with paying customers. The two feed each other constantly.

How we think

Why a services company builds its own products

It is an unusual thing for a software services company to do, and it is expensive. Products take years to pay back, and every hour spent on them is an hour not billed to a client.

We do it because a project ends at handover and a product does not. You are still answering for a product in year three, when the customer base has grown tenfold and a decision made in week two has become the thing holding everything up.

You learn what breaks under real load. You learn that a feature nobody can figure out is a broken feature, however elegant the code underneath. You learn to build for the support queue you will personally be answering on a Saturday.

That is the team that builds your system, and it is the clearest reason to choose us over a firm that has only ever delivered and walked away.

Leadership

Vishal Kumar More

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Arsaviva was founded by Vishal Kumar More in 2017 and he continues to lead it. Clients working with us on anything substantial will meet him — at a company of this size, the person accountable for the work is reachable, which is not true of most firms you could hire for an enterprise system.

What we will not do

Turn down work? Regularly.

We will not take a project we do not think should be built. If an off-the-shelf product fits your process, or one of our own products already solves it, or your data is not ready for the thing you are asking for, we will say so — and explain why rather than simply declining.

It costs us some work. It is also the reason for a fair number of the clients we have kept the longest.

Tell us what isn’t working

A first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Bring the problem — the mess of spreadsheets, the report nobody can produce, the process that breaks every month-end. We will tell you honestly whether custom software is the answer, and roughly what it would take. Sometimes the answer is that you do not need us. We will say so.
